This has got to be the ultimate adventure! Discover the true majesty of the Rocky Mountains from the air as you glide effortlessly over the breathtaking beauty of the alpine environment of the high-country with North Americas highest altitude commercial balloon rides. This is an activity most people dream about, and there is no more beautiful place to make that dream come true than here in Summit County.

This activity runs from May 1 to October 31, and is staffed by commercially licensed FAA pilots who are specifically trained in mountain flying. The equipment is all state of the art and FAA inspected every 100 hours and the outfitter is fully insured. Your safety is their first priority. We can accommodate up to 17people per day. The flights all take place at that most magical time of the day - sunrise, and are always accompanied by the traditional champagne celebrations (with a souvenir glass to take home)! The flights last for approximately one hour, and depart from South Park Valley near Wilkerson Pass, about 50 minutes South of Breckenridge. Guests staying in Summit County or in Vail/Beaver Creek should meet at the City Market in Breckenridge. Transportation will be provided from there. Meeting times are between 5:30am and 7:00am depending upon sunrise times and will be determined at the time of booking. Flights are available 7 days a week, but are weather dependent, so it is best to book early in your stay just in case there is a delay due to weather - this is one activity you don't want to miss!

Each flight is accompanied by classical music just to make sure you are in the right mood and to keep the ambiance perfect. The champagne celebration with continental-style breakfast comes afterwards and is accompanied by acoustic music from Jeff Powell! High-powered binoculars are available so that you can examine the spectacular scenery close-up. There is a complimentary DVD pictorial of your flight to take home as a memento. There is even a video of your flight available, by special request, for purchase for an additional fee. Absolutely everything is done to make this a truly memorable flight - go on, treat yourselves - you know you've always wanted to try this!

Meeting point for all flights is in Breckenridge, and guests should be dressed for the weather, mornings can be chilly so long pants and a jacket are recommended as well as sturdy shoes (no open toed shoes or sandals are permitted). One other essential item is a camera with plenty of spare film (or bring along your video camera!), this is one trip that you will want to record so that you can make all your friends envious for years to come! We strongly recommend booking your flight early to check on availability and to guard against inclement weather. When making your reservation an approximate total weight of all passengers will be required.
