Vail Pass Bike Rentals & Shuttles

Activity: Bicycle Shuttles
Nearby Resorts:
Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne
Proximity:
A designated National Scenic Trail, Vail Pass Trail offers many panoramic views of the Gore and Ten Mile Ranges as well as the Holy Cross Wilderness area. Your ride will take you past rushing streams, wild flower meadows and extraordinary alpine terrain. This route follows an old narrow-gauge railroad bed and parallels the cool running Ten Mile Creek. The jagged ridges along Ten Mile Creek are especially dramatic and will leave you wanting more. Vail Pass Trail is a paved trail and links up with Ten Mile Canyon Trail at Copper Mountain. You may choose to make a day of it and spend some time at Copper Mountain where you can take your bike up the chairlift for some additional and more difficult downhill riding! There is also Mini Golf, Go-Karts, a climbing wall, a quad power jump, paddle boats, peddle kayaks and diggler (Mtn. Scooters) rentals.

We also have discount all day activity passes available at our store in Frisco @ $39 - a $10 saving on the "Window" prices at Copper Mountain. You will have so much fun on the ride down that you will probably choose to keep your bike for some additional riding and your options are nearly infinite. The Summit County area is a bicyclist's paradise with close to 200 miles of paved bike paths and 400 miles of back-country roads and trails. All of this is located in a stunning mountain setting and creates ideal conditions for two-wheeled touring. The richly varied topography of the region presents both novice and advanced mountain bikers with many choices from a family cruise on blacktop to a bone crushing downhill adventure.

The main attraction to bikers is unquestionably the vast network of paved bike paths winding through and between each of the towns and resorts in the area. You can literately ride the bike path from Breckenridge to Vail or any of the other towns. These paved trails feature trail head parking, directional signage, and rest stops. The variety of terrain and levels of difficulty accommodate everyone from an infant preferring to watch the world from the comfort of a child trailer to a hill climbing enthusiast.

OTHER FUN RIDES
  • Frisco to Breckenridge: Summit County's bike path network also continues southeast from the trail head in Frisco. It's about 10 miles of dedicated path with a very slight elevation gain. This route is much easier than climbing Vail Pass but still rewards riders with majestic views of rocky mountain peaks.
  • Dillon Reservoir Loop: From Frisco near the marina, the 18 mile route goes clockwise, crossing the dam, switching to road and path again before returning west with a climb on Swan Mountain Road.
Tee pricing shown below is for a 24 hour bike rental including a complimentary shuttle ride to the top of Vail Pass. Kids prices apply to children's bikes. Adult bikes will be charged at adult rates.
